How do I hire a private driver in Morocco?
Tell us your dates, your route and the number of travelers, through the custom tour form or on WhatsApp. We reply with a written quote for the vehicle and the driver. Once you confirm it, your driver is booked for the whole trip. Our professional drivers in Morocco cover the main cities, the airports and the ports.
Car hire with a driver or a rental car: which is better in Morocco?
With a rental car you drive, find your way, park and return the car yourself. With car hire with a driver, the driver handles the road, the parking and the waiting, and drops you as close to the medina gates as cars may go. You can also end the trip in another city with nothing to bring back. A car with a driver suits a first visit or a trip with long drives; a rental car suits travelers who enjoy driving.
Is my tour driver in Morocco also a guide?
No, they are two different jobs. Your driver knows the roads and the country, and is happy to share them on the way. Guiding inside medinas and monuments is the job of a licensed local guide. A local guide is a premium extra on request, and our two day trips include one for four hours.
Can a private driver take us on day trips and desert tours?
Yes. Day trips leave from Tangier and Marrakech, and multi-day private tours by car go as far as the Sahara at Merzouga, across the Atlas Mountains. See our private tours or ask for a route of your own. Desert camps, camel rides and other activities are yours to book and pay, and we are glad to recommend them.
Is a private driver a good choice for a family tour of Morocco?
Yes. The vehicle is for your family only, so you stop whenever the children need a break. Our vans take up to seven passengers and the Sprinter up to twelve, with room for the luggage. Child seats are available on request: tell us their ages when you ask for a quote.
What is included in the price?
Prices are per vehicle, not per person. They include the driver, fuel, tolls, insurance, bottled water and pickup at your hotel or the airport. Hotels, meals and activities are yours to book and pay. A local guide is a premium extra on request, except on the two day trips, which already include one.
