From the port your hotel or riad is a few minutes away. If you are going on to Tetouan, Chefchaouen or Asilah, tell us and we quote that leg as a separate transfer.

Do we change vehicle or driver at the port?
No. It is an exclusive transfer: the same vehicle and the same driver take you from your door in Málaga to your door in Tangier and cross the Strait with you.
Which ferry does the transfer take?
The Tarifa to Tangier Ville line, the short crossing of the Strait: about one hour at sea, arriving at the port in the centre of Tangier, a few minutes from the medina and the seafront hotels.
How long does the transfer from Málaga to Tangier take?
By road it is about 160 km and a little over two hours from Málaga to Tarifa, and the ferry takes about one hour. Add the time to board and the border checks: plan half a day from door to door.
What happens if the ferry does not sail because of the wind?
Strong wind in the Strait can stop the ferries between Tarifa and Tangier. That is not your fault, so we wait until the ferry sails, at no extra cost to you.
What documents do we need for the crossing?
A valid passport for every passenger, children included, because you cross the border between Spain and Morocco. Visa rules depend on your nationality, so check them before you travel.

At Málaga Airport, at your hotel or at the María Zambrano station in Málaga, and along the Costa del Sol: Torremolinos, Benalmádena, Fuengirola, Marbella and Estepona are all on the way to Tarifa.
Which vehicles do you use and how many people fit?
A 2026 Mercedes Vito or a 2026 Mercedes V-Class. Each takes up to 7 passengers; the Vito carries 7 suitcases and the V-Class 6. For a larger group, write to us and we plan it with you.
How much does it cost and how do I book?
We do not publish a price list. Send the booking request with your date and the number of passengers and we reply with the price for your vehicle, everything included. Cancellation is free up to 15 days before the transfer.
Can you take us from Tangier to Málaga?
Yes. The transfer runs in both directions, with the same vehicles and the same things included.
